Fight 4 Cure Inc Product, Support Services or Research Small Grants Program is committed to supporting local NC nonprofits that provide products and support services to individuals affected by cancer and select national nonprofits that conduct cancer research.
It is anticipated that one organizations may receive a grant for $500 and a second organization may receive a grant for $600. Please note: The grant must cover the entire cost of any products and support services provided to individuals affected by cancer or used to conduct research to find a cure for cancer.
Nonprofit organizations with 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt status.
Nonprofits that serve individuals affected by cancer in Garner, Clayton, Apex, Cary, Raleigh-Durham, Fayetteville, and a few other select surrounding areas. Preference is given to nonprofits working in low income, under served or under represented communities.
National nonprofit organizations that conduct cancer research.
Ineligible applicants include: individuals, endowments or private foundations, religious organizations, federal, state, or municipal agencies or political campaigns.
Ineligible expenses include, but are not limited to: staff salaries or other administrative costs, etc.
The following criteria will be used in evaluating grant requests:
Does the nonprofit address a well-defined need that aligns with Fight 4 Cure Inc mission?
Will the products, support services or research provided have a significant impact as it relates to helping and fostering hope for individuals affected by cancer?
Can the nonprofit point to significant accomplishments?
Going forward, will the nonprofit be in a position to help and foster hope for individuals affected by cancer?
The Board of Directors will do their best to assess the relative need of all requests before making an award.
The deadline to submit a proposal for the Small Grant program is 5:00 p.m. (EST) on July 31st of each year. Final grant award decisions are expected to be made in December.
Potential applicants are encouraged to read the What We Support or contact Fight 4 Cure Inc prior to submitting an application to determine whether their nonprofit is eligible for consideration under this program. Please note that this email is for informational purposes only and will not constitute and/or be considered a formal letter of application. We will do our best to respond to any emails in a timely manner.
The process for consideration of repeat applicants are as follows: nonprofit organizations that receive a Small Grant from Fight 4 Cure Inc will not be eligible to apply for and/or receive another Small Grant for a period of at least two years from the date of the previous application and/or Board of Directors’ selection. There is no waiting period for organizations whose applications were not selected for funding.
